Our Story
Resilient people create resilient organisations.
Together we can create a more resilient planet.
Our journey began in 2003 when our Co-Founder and former CEO, Stuart Taylor, faced a health crisis while working in high-pressure senior roles. At the time, a Resilience Institute workshop opened his eyes to the importance of resilience in corporate life. Inspired by this experience, Stuart founded Resilience Institute Australia, now Springfox, with a clear mission: to help corporate leaders recognise the impact of stress and burnout and build the skills to thrive in today’s fast-paced world.
What began as a deeply personal calling has grown into a nationwide movement to equip individuals and organisations with the tools to perform at their best under pressure. Our high-impact, practical, evidence-based programs integrate modern preventative medicine, positive psychology, emotional intelligence, cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT), neuroscience, and high-performance sport.
The results speak for themselves: on average, our programs deliver a 25% improvement in measured resilience, translating into happier, healthier, and more productive people—and more profitable, sustainable organisations.
Sadly, Stuart passed away peacefully on 27 July 2025, after living courageously and consciously with illness for many years. He faced this final chapter as he faced every challenge in his life—with integrity, presence, and a deep care for others. His leadership was marked not only by vision and intellect, but by the quiet strength and compassion he brought to every interaction.
The messages shared in his memory are a powerful reminder of the impact his work has had on leaders, teams, and organisations across Australia and beyond:
“His humour, insight and grit were inspiring… I still use the Death Spiral today as a reminder to build my own resilience” — LinkedIn tribute comment
“He gave me an insight into resilience that I have carried for the last 15 years” — LinkedIn tribute comment
“Beyond being an exceptional facilitator, Stuart was a great leader and a living example of resilience” — LinkedIn tribute comment
“His positive energy and gift for storytelling had a powerful impact on everyone lucky enough to partner with him or participate in his programs” — LinkedIn tribute comment
We carry forward the legacy of our Co-founder, Stuart Taylor, whose vision for resilience and well-being remains at the heart of Springfox.

We deliver an evidence-based, integral, and practical method for achieving performance with care
One of the things we’re grappling with is the pace of technology and change occurring right now. As an industry, we have largely been protected from change due to high barriers to entry. But if we don’t change, we could be the taxi companies that get disrupted and disrupted in 3-5 years. That is quite frightening. So how do we get comfortable with change, respond to change and find ways to come up with ideas, to collaborate and talk beyond just our roles or level of experience. We need people to be themselves, you need to have your whole self at work. If corporates were to mature 10-15 years, resilience would ideally just be a natural part of what we do and how we act.

Resilience drives performance
Growing capability, together
Springfox provides an evidence-based, integral and practical solution to the human dimension of work. Building resilience mitigates problems like depression, distress and illness. It liberates the potential in our people to be well, effective and whole. Resilience is a foundation and goal of strategy.
We face a variety of part solutions—EAP, insurance, wellness, EQ, mindfulness—that can trivialise the importance of preparing and challenging your people to be at their best on the job, and at home. Resilient people are calm, energised, engaged, focused and creative. A resilient organisation serves with vision, humility and care. It is adaptive, innovative and tenacious. It is a force for good.
When your organisation is resilient you will attract resilient people. This virtuous cycle separates the truly great from the average. Springfox has a proven solution to measuring the human dimension, targeting the right investments, and delivering the results that underpin success.
