2023 Global Resilience Report
Springfox, in conjunction with our global partners, the Resilience Institute, have released the 2023 Global Resilience Report—an annual study examining global resilience trends. Our research unveils a pressing need to address alarmingly low resilience levels among young people under 30 years old.
Aimed at HR managers, senior leaders, and c-suite executives, this report provides valuable insights and recommendations for employers to effectively support their young workforce.
Key findings:
Despite the concerning findings, the report also highlights the strengths of young people, including positivity, empathy, and vitality, which contribute to overall resilience and well-being.

Research Method – measuring resilience
The Resilience Diagnostic
The Resilience Diagnostic is a secure, online, 12-minute questionnaire that is psychometrically robust. It reports on 60 discrete factors in 11 categories. These categories define a person’s assets and liabilities, which indicate how resilient they are.

The Resilience Ratio
The diagnostic tool attributes a numerical value (between 1-5) to a person’s assets and liabilities, which informs their overall level of resilience – what we call a ‘resilience ratio’.
An individual’s resilience ratio is determined by the sum of all asset scores divided by the sum of all liability scores.
Highly resilient people have high asset scores and low liability scores.
